1. What is plywood?
Plywood, also known by many other names such as plywood, plywood, plywood is a material made up of many layers of natural wood. These layers of wood are sliced ​​about 1mm thin, stacked in a direction perpendicular to the wood grain and then pressed together in an environment of high temperature and pressure with the participation of adhesives. 2. Composition of wood plywood
Plywood is composed of 3 main parts:

– Part of adhesives and additives: adhesives are glues commonly used for plywood, which are Urea Formaldehyde (UF) glue and Phenol Formaldehyde (PF) glue. Additives include hardeners, paraffins, etc.

3. Wood production process plywood
The manufacturing process of plywood is quite complicated and requires high technology.

– First, the logs will be cut to the specified size and peeled to ensure uniformity and smoothness and then peeled off into thin layers of wood by a specialized peeler.

These thin layers of wood are then chopped to the specified size. Next, they are improved elasticity by a specialized machine, dried and stored for 24 hours to retain moisture from 6% to 8%.

– The next step is to spray glue on the wood layers and hot press them to bond together. In order for the glue to penetrate better and help the board become stronger, the layers of wood before applying glue will be pressed under certain temperature and pressure conditions.

The next stage is rough cutting. After cutting, the boards are treated with a scrubber to achieve a smooth and uniform surface finish before going through the surface glue spray line. And to achieve optimal hardness, the board continues to be pressed 4 more times including pre-pressing and hot pressing.

– After this stage, the plank is almost complete. They are cut and scrubbed edges and edges and tested for quality before being put on the market.

4. Pros and cons of wood plywood
Advantage
Plywood has a large contact surface, so it has high hardness and mechanical strength. This type of board has better bearing capacity than all other types of industrial wood such as mfc board, mdf board, hdf board, etc.

Along with laminated wood, plywood is a type of industrial wood that is less affected by water because they are composed of layers of natural wood. The board does not swell easily when immersed in water like mfc or mdf boards.

Plywood has good screw and adhesion ability, creating firmness and solidity for interior products.

Defect
Due to the better quality, the production and construction process is also more complicated, so plywood has a higher price than some common industrial wood boards.

When cutting, the edge of the board is easily chipped. Therefore, plywood is better to be used in the form of sheets with the correct dimensions of the manufacturer. When cutting boards, it is necessary to have the right techniques and handle the edge of the board after cutting to bring high efficiency when used.

Plywood can warp, the wood surface may not be smooth, and may delamination under inappropriate environmental conditions such as excessive humidity over a long period of time.
